I'm destashing my studio and got rid of lots of junk today! Tomorrow I have to list about a ton of dollhouse furniture that somehow has multiplied in one box. Since I sold my doll houses, there's no need for the furniture! I have more magazines than one person should be allowed to have! I had to save all the Legacy, Somerset Studio, Inspiration, magazines though! I have three BIG stacks of books to take to the used book store tomorrow. I hate getting rid of books!! But, I still have so many I want to read.. Never enough hours in the day.
Looked through some old photos and found some of me and Gabriel when he came home from the hospital. Such a pretty baby. And I actually look cute! I was so skinny! I always thought I was so ugly. I imagine when I'm 80 and look at pictures of myself now, maybe I'll say, Hey! I didn't look as bad as I thought I did!! Hopefully I'll be about 30 pounds lighter.
Now I'm in major pain. Took a Lortab which is kicking my butt.... Or maybe it's the wine I'm having with it. I know there's pain still there. I just don't care!!
Off to the couch and hopefully I don't OD.....

My Distasteful ATCs

I decided I didn't want to lower myself to some standard that's NOT me. I refuse to deal with someone else's anger with anger. Instead I send out love and light and prayers to light their way, as it is her way to find on her own...
I thank my new cyber friend Jillian for reminding me to not get my knickers in a bunch and I'm blessed to have you as an acquaintance! Thank you for being who you are.. the funny, loving person with more semblance of reason than I sometimes have!
So, the whole anger issue is resolved with myself, the person in question is blocked from emailing me, my daughter sent me THE MOST GORGEOUS ALTERED BOOK for Mother's Day!! What a JOY!! And all's right with the world.
Lesson Learned......

FUSION PAPER!!

Watch this show up twice...... argh!!
At any rate, here is some fusion paper I made from the Summer issue of Cloth Paper Scissors! I had alot of fun making it. Made a great, huge mess and was very happy with the results! Thought I'd offer one on ebay and use the rest in my upcoming Deco Round Robin!

This is the upper left side. Lots of Walnut Ink distressing and Gecko irredescent spray with fine sparkles here and there

Fusion Paper on ebay under Michi_Magick Paper is hand dyed paper towels dyed with acrylics between two sheets of tissue paper. 14K gold leaf is hand applied between layers along with cellophane strips for texture and paint chips for interest.Both sides are finished with gel medium. Great piece to deckle tear and use for an altered book or background on an art project, or just by itself! Measures about 18" x 23". Nice heavy weight.

HAPPY BELTANE!

Merry Meet and Happy May Day! I've started doing my cat drawings on the small 3 1/2" x 2 /2" ATC (Art Trading Cards) or ACEO (Artist Collections, Editions, Originals). I really love working so small! I like the tidy feeling of them and the way they enable me to draw more realism from the smaller format that I sometimes lose in a large painting or drawing!
This set is all watercolored and accented with colored pencil.
